Tanja van Heuvelen

Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences

Hi, my name is Tanja van Heuvelen, I am a senior lecturer at the department of Environmental Sciences at VHL Leeuwarden. Within INVEST, I’m mainly charged with educational development.

I studied Social Geography and Town and Country Planning at Groningen University. Besides developing and conducting lectures in the field of Environmental Policy and Politics and Urban Planning, I was involved with a lot of different activities at HVHL; e.g., curriculum (re)development of study programs, initial accreditation for new programs (associate degree and the bachelor Forensic Investigative Laboratory Research), regular accreditation processes and AISHE audits for Environmental Sciences, writing self - evaluation reports for Environmental Sciences, for the predecessor of Management of the Living Environment and the master Management of Development in Velp.  I worked also as a team leader for Environmental Sciences (5 years) and Horticulture and Arable Farming (3 years).

Currently, I combine my educational tasks with being a chair and member of the assessment committee in Leeuwarden and work for INVEST and I4E.
