Developmental Psychology and Psychosocial Factors in Adolescence is a course focused on understanding adolescent development from a biopsychosocial and European perspective. The course addresses adolescence as a critical life stage for mental health, wellbeing and social inclusion, highlighting its relevance for education, health, social and public policy contexts. Participants will explore key psychological, social and contextual factors influencing adolescent development, including family and peer relationships, school environments, mental health risk and protective factors, and current challenges such as digital life, cultural diversity and inequality. The course integrates scientific evidence with applied perspectives, encouraging critical thinking and intercultural reflection. Learners will develop transversal competences related to prevention, psychosocial intervention and social sustainability, contributing to healthier developmental trajectories and more inclusive communities within the INVEST Alliance. The webinar will be in English language.

Learning goals and competencies:

- Acknowledge adolescent development from a biopsychosocial perspective.

- Identify key psychosocial factors influencing adolescent´s mental health.

- Analyse current challenges related to risk, vulnerability and inequality.

- Examine preventive and psychoeducational interventions.

- Apply a European and intercultural perspective to adolescent development.
