SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION OF THE INVEST RECTOR’S ASSEMBLY AND MANAGEMENT MEETING 2024 AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MILANO-BICOCCA

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the INVEST Rector’s Assembly and Management Meeting 2024, held from October 22–24 at the University of Milano-Bicocca. This pivotal event brought together leaders from across the INVEST European University Alliance to forge new pathways for collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth in higher education.

Over the three days, key topics included:

• PhD Program Integration and Strategic Governance: Discussions covered the alignment of PhD initiatives, including collaborations between WP5 and WP6, and the consideration of governance enhancements to strengthen the university alliance.

• Approval of New Centre of Excellence Structure: The Rectors endorsed the establishment of a Centre of Excellence, a new chapter for promoting cross-disciplinary education and research aligned with European education standards.

• Advancements in Joint Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs: With a focus on Sustainable Regional Development, these programs are set to expand learning opportunities for students across borders.

• Exploration of Mobility Pathways and Micro-Credentials: Promoting flexibility and lifelong learning, the Alliance discussed pathways that provide wider student access to diverse educational and mobility opportunities.
