On March 23, 2022, a kick-off meeting of partners on the International Visegrad Fund project took place in Yerevan, Armenia. In addition to the Armenian National Agrarian University, the host institution, the meeting was also attended by the EU partners - University of South Bohemia České Budějovice, Czech Republic, Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Hungary, and Slovak University of Agriculture (SUA) in Nitra, Slovakia. SUA was represented by Mr. Norbert Floriš, who on this occasion presented to the meeting participants the INVEST Alliance, as well as the idea, objectives and outputs of the joint INVEST project.

Armenia is a member country of the so-called Eastern Partnership, a joint initiative of the European External Action Service of the European Union (EU) together with the EU, its member states, and six Eastern European partners governing the EU relationship with the post-Soviet states of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. Due to its rich history, strategic location, but especially its close relationship with the EU, Armenia is an important partner for the EU in the South Caucasus region. It is therefore also in the INVEST Alliance's interest to become known to Armenian educational institutions, with the possibility of future cooperation development in the field of education, science and research.
