INVEST SHOWCASES ITS DIGITAL INNOVATION AT EAIE 2025
At the EAIE 2025 Conference in Gothenburg, INVEST presented not only its vision for regional sustainability and international collaboration but also its growing ecosystem of digital services that are reshaping the student and staff experience across our alliance.
Visitors to our booth had the chance to explore four key platforms:
-
The Virtual Campus – now operating as the central hub for study programmes, mobilities, micro-credentials, and lifelong learning opportunities across the alliance.
-
The Open Science Hub – designed to integrate with the European Open Science Cloud, making research outputs accessible and reusable according to FAIR principles.
-
The Micro-Credentials Platform – offering a future-proof approach to flexible learning, with open badges and verifiable recognition mechanisms.
-
EDUC8EU – our academic advising tool, which has already provided thousands of personalized study pathway recommendations.
We were also pleased to announce a major upgrade to EDUC8EU. Beyond its established recommendation engine, the platform now features an interactive chatbot, enabling learners to discuss their tailored pathways in real time. To make the experience even more adaptable, users can select from different advising styles — ranging from Carl Rogers’ empathic approach to structured decision-making models such as CASVE. This upgrade illustrates how generative AI, semantic reasoning, and user-centered design can come together to provide more dynamic and accessible support. At the same time, it complements the wider INVEST digital ecosystem, where all tools are interconnected to serve students, staff, and researchers.
The conversations we had at EAIE confirmed that digital transformation is no longer an add-on — it is at the heart of how alliances like INVEST strengthen mobility, recognition, and collaboration in Europe.
Stay tuned as we continue to expand and refine these platforms, turning innovation into practical support for higher education.
