The Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra came alive on 25 November with the event Erasmus Village 2025. Dozens of international students presented their traditions, culture, gastronomy, as well as their experiences of studying at SUA within the Erasmus+ programme and other exchange programmes.

Under the patronage of the Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalisation, Lucia Palšová, the event was organised by the SUA International Relations Office in cooperation with the student volunteer organisation Erasmus Student Network (ESN) and project INVEST.

The European University project INVEST, led by SUA, offered in its stand rich opportunities for students – including summer and winter schools abroad, various international webinars, INVEST courses and INVEST merch. Participants could also enjoy two cakes – one dedicated to Erasmus Village and the other to the INVEST project.

During the event INVEST team and INVEST students presented activities of the project and opportunities how to benefit from international networking and educational activities for students and teachers. For example, to share personal experiences from summer school in Sicily was of great value and attracted the attention to students. On the other hand, Ing. Michal Cifranič, PhD. presented the topics and benefits of INVEST courses. Last, but not least, our intention was also to disseminate the information about INVEST social media as the easiest way to communicate with students.

The university premises were filled with the scents and colours of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mexico, Turkey, Greece, Poland, Egypt, Azerbaijan, and France. The Embassy of the Republic of India in Slovakia presented its country at its own booth and contributed to the cultural programme with a traditional Indian dance performance. Participants could vote for the best booth. Although each one was unique and interesting, the winning spot went to the students from Uzbekistan.
