This webinar is organised by the INVEST Centre of Excellence and the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne and is delivered within the framework of the ‘Funding Opportunities’ task force for researchers.

Martin Valach is a project manager at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (Office of Project and Transfer Activities), where he has supported international research projects under Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, and Interreg Europe since 2014. He has contributed to major initiatives such as Horizon 2020 INVEST4EXCELLENCE (project coordinator), Horizon 2020 POWER4BIO, Horizon Europe EUROPE-LAND, and BIOREGIO (Interreg Europe), gaining hands-on experience in proposal preparation, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

Martin previously worked as an assistant lecturer and teacher, building a strong academic foundation in environmental science and geography. He holds a PhD in Environmental Science and an MSc in Biology and Geography from Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. His long-term involvement in EU-funded collaborations enables him to share practical insights and lessons learned from Horizon Europe project development.
