This webinar examines how stress and digital environments challenge our sleep health in modern work environments. The first speech session, The Cost of Stress and the Value of Sleep: A Human Resources Perspective, explores the interplay between work-related stress, sleep and staff performance from human resources perspective and provides practical strategies to support wellbeing. The second speech, How Digital Information Shapes Our Sleep, investigates the influence of digital environments and behaviours on sleep. It highlights scientific insights and shares actionable approaches to mitigate the impact of digital exposure and online activity.

Mathilde Regnault: The Cost of Stress and the Value of Sleep
Mathilde Regnault (University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne) holds an MBA in Human Resources and has been working on HR strategy and international cooperation projects for 3 years. She is convinced that well-being at work must be at the centre of organisational priorities and would like to raise awareness about the negative impact of stressful work environments and the importance of sleep for staff performance and resilience. Through fostering knowledge and sharing practices, she aims to help institutions grow while creating a healthier workplace.
Maria Kontaxi-Zachila: How Digital Information Shapes Our Sleep
Maria Kontaxi-Zachila (University of Thessaly) is a member of the Special Teaching and Laboratory Staff at the Department of Economics of the University of Thessaly, with extensive experience in teaching accounting, informatics, and financial applications. She holds degrees in Business Administration, Animal Production, and Educational Organisation and Management, and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Thessaly, School of Medicine. She has actively participated in research projects, educational initiatives, and international events, such as the Economics and Astronomy–Astrophysics Olympiads. In parallel, she has rich experience in organising postgraduate studies and lifelong learning programs, focusing on linking education with modern digital and professional skills.
